Small Business Resiliency Grant Program
The following is a brief overview from the Director of Development of how the city plans on rolling out the Small Business Resiliency Grant Program should Council approve it. Attached is a copy of the Marketing Plan to get the word out to businesses and do outreach measures. Due to the fact that it is a first come first served grant program, we thought it was very important to get as much information out as possible and make the applications available prior to the actual date that we would begin accepting them for consideration on May 8th. We want to do everything we can to provide adequate notice and allow businesses to put together the necessary documentation for an equal opportunity for consideration. Should you have any questions, please let me know.
-- Application and guidelines available immediately after EDA Board meeting/approval on Friday, May 1st
-- Applications will be accepted Friday, May 8th beginning at 9:00am
-- Outreach will occur before the applications will be accepted
-- The attached Marketing Plan gives a good sequence of events and notifications. In addition, phone calls and responses will be happening before the Application is open.
-- Please note that if someone is delinquent on taxes, and has an approved payment plan with the Treasurer, they will be deemed current for Eligibility purposes.
-- We expect funds to flow to businesses for approved grants the last week of May.
